Congrats, Fredirc Aasbo! To earn Formula D 2010 Rookie of the Year!!!
CARBONETIC Triple Carbon Clutch: ACT23320-14
Dear Sponsors and Friends,
The 2010 Formula Drift Season is officially over, and on behalf of Team Japan Auto FSR I am proud to announce we earned the 2010 Formula Drift Rookie of the Year Award! Additionally, we received the Hard Charging Driver of the Year Award, and the Retaks Insane Entry Award at the Formula Drift Irwindale Finals last weekend. For us, this is a true testament to the determination of our team and our sponsors’ belief in what we do. We are still a small operation compared to our competition, but we are moving forward at a steady pace. At this point, we are making our plans for 2011 — we can’t wait to get back out there!
Next up is our participation at the Solberg Extreme Motor Show in Norway on the weekend of November 25th-27th. This is an indoor crossover rally, drifting and FMX held just outside of Oslo, Norway.
To all our friends and sponsors: Thanks for all your support, and best of luck in 2011!
Pole position
Victory in Time Attack Mod RWD
Victory in Super Session Mod RWD (and 3rd Mod Overall)
New track record
The 1.5-way worked really well on this car, 66% maybe still is a little
strong for street tires especially in low speed turns, but with real
R-comp, or with slicks, should be perfect.
Very nice work. We will have to decide how we want to configure our other
Carbonetic diff also.

On July 4th, 2010, Ryan Gates and the Gates311.com / Nitto Tires Evo X finished 3rd for the first time in Redline Time Attack’s Modified Class at Willow Springs Raceway.
……(extract) I was unable to better my 1st session time of 1:26.5 and had to settle for 3rd place for the first time in my Redline career. Not very pumped on that, but I guess you need to take the good with the bad and move on.
Super Lap Battle Las Vegas: 1st Place Street AWD Class!!!
Subaru of Las Vegas / Zenkai Motorsports
Driver: Thomas Smith
CARBONETIC Triple Carbon Clutch: ACS23320-11
CARBONETIC Front & Rear Carbon LSD 1.5way: ACSFB9521 & ACSRB9510
Driver Thomas Smith also got behind the wheel to our customer’s (Crawford Performance) car which also equipped with CARBONETIC Front & Rear Carbon LSDs finished 1st place in the Unlimited AWD Class, too! Amazing driver!!!!
“The car felt pretty good during the first session out, and responded even better with each adjustment we made. Dialing it in is a slow process but I think with a little bit more track time, we will be in pretty good shape. The car that Crawford Performance has created is very, very fast. It exits the corners right off the apex–thanks to the balanced and aggressive Tein Super Racing Coilovers that complement the power the Crawford-tuned Subaru EJ motor produces. The Carbonetic Triple Clutch and LSD make a huge difference too, with just the right momentum to get out of the corners. Overall, I’m very impressed with this STI Time Attack Car!”
Thank Thomas for maximize the CARBONETIC Clutch and LSDs performance!
And congratulation for the 1st place for both Street AWD Class and Unlimited AWD Class!!! Awesome!
Ryan Gates, gates311.com has used ACM23380-11 for a whole last season without any replacements at super tough situations, and goes for this season again!!!!
“All ready to go back into it’s home. The Carbonetic Triple Carbon clutch lasted all season without issue. But before putting it back into the car it was thoroughly inspected, and amazingly the plates looked like they were brand new! Gotta love carbon clutches and heel toe downshifting. “
To his help for the 2WD-converted AE Performance/C.A.R. Engineering/Hankook/City Tire Porsche, Rydquist also uses a Carbonetic limited slip differential, to get the 470 hp from the flywheel to the surface without losing traction.
- It’s crucial at this track to have a good limited slip differential, to be able to get on the throttle early and keep it down, Carl explains, - so from my side driving and confirming what I feel in the car by looking at the data from the onboard logger, the Carbonetic limited slip differential was doing a very strong job by delivering great traction, very smoothly. With street tires on a hot track, spinning the inside wheel can otherwise be a nightmare for the laptimes.
Hello,
Just showing some video footages from Texas Mile, Back It Up TV Show. Very organized individuals put these races together. As you can see with my car, my clutch was slipping at 1000whp but I was pulling that 1000whp Ford GT that was supercharged and twin turbo’d so I had to let go off the throtle in top of 3rd gear to preserve it for the Top Speed runs (eventhough it still slipped but good enough to try it out) but it was fun.
Cheers and enjoy. Art
While the pressure plate for Porsche clutch was being under development, we have received the comments like above, unfortunately…..
Finally, New upgraded pressure plate for Porsche clutch is available now.
Here below are the results for the same Porsche 996!

the clutch works awesome so far, grabs like none other. We drove the car to Bakersfield all the way and broke the clutch without punching it hard. We ran a few test runs since clutch was new and so was the tranny. Due to poor condition at the track we could not hook the car but here are the results:
60ft was bad b/c could not hook : 2.5
1/8mph: 111mph
1/4 mile: 10.9s @ 144mph on mid boost only
We busted the front driver side radiator and headed back home. all good man. Thanks, after I pick up the car next weekend I will do more testing.

Hello all,
Just wanted to share our new record with you guys. We were able to muscle out a new record for the Porsche world. We tried a few runs on low boost and hit 5.4 seconds which is 0.4seconds faster than a Bugatti just FYI. Betim asked me if we could get into 4s and then I told him to pull over. At 26 lbs we hit 4.7s. At 29lbs we hit 4.4s. Then the magical 4.25s came in at 31 lbs of boost. This run was completed on: 31 lbs of boost, two people in the car, no shifts, 50 degrees. I was able to break boost in 3rd gear and dead hook the tires after warming them up. We hit 130mph at 7400rpm and still had more room left. BBi has re-geared 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and with Protomotives magical touch (Tuning) it paid off. We now know that hitting 3 seconds is around the corner with more boost and no additional passenger in the car since it accounts for another 0.3-0.5s (depending on weight). Here is the graph.
Thanks for all the support!!!!!

“Shortly after its two time attack races in the US, 5Zigen’s Honda Accord Euro-R racecar was shipped back to Japan. It saw a time attack race at Tsukuba and was then patched back up all pretty for TAS”
If you went to their booth, you were able to get this cool sticker….. did anyone got it?
